Volleyball 9/4
Robert, Katie and I met up with Tony to film the volleyball game. I learned what angles to shoot for the game and how to keep up with the action. Volleyball was much easier to film than soccer because the ball isn't flying up and down a field. I also learned what to film between plays, and when to stop recording to conserve battery. We worked the game for an hour and a half.
Soccer 8/30
Tonight we were able to attend and film the men's soccer game against Coker. I met Shelby, and Tony who proceeded to give us tips on how to film the game. I learned how to keep the camera on the action, which is difficult because of the constant motion, how to record when important plays happened by writing down the time of the play, and also learned how to deal with the extremely bright lights. It was an exciting game that ended in a heart breaking 2-1 loss in double overtime. We were at the game for two hours.
Meeting 8/29
Today I went to the sports show meeting at 10:30 and met the others that work on the show. Jordan told us about the show and told us the games that we could possibly film. All in all the meeting was thirty minutes long.
Lateee
I apologize for my extreme lateness on these posts but better late than never I suppose? I've never had a blog before so this should be interesting to keep. I'll need to remember to blog all of my activities. Maybe I'll put a sticky note on my desk reminding myself to blog more often.
